35 km in length
Of special interest for cyclist are the 35 km long bicycle Speiche Weißpriach route (round trip) in Mariapfarr, approx. 270 m in altitude or the 20 km Speiche Lignitz route, approx. 500 m in altitude.

The Pirka-Fanning route, a challenging 28,4 km mountain bike route starts right in Mariapfarr and goes from 1.075 to 1.480 m above sea level. From nearby Mauterndorf, Tamsweg or St. Michael there are also many mountain bike tours of varied difficulty.

The Lungau holiday region is also a pioneer in the field of E-Bikes - there are 71 free E-Bike charging stations! E-Bikes are powered by an engine that supports the natural running motion so you can travel longer on more challenging routes.

If you are out and about on forest roads with your mountain bike, please observe the following rules:
- Travel times: 01.06.-15.09. between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. & 16.09.-31.10. between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Please drive only on designated routes.
- Since there is also work in the forest areas, please pay attention to lying wood, grazing cattle and vehicles.
- Choose routes that suit your technical ability.
- Also pay attention to the equipment of your bicycle prescribed by the StVO and in particular to the helmet obligation for children under the age of 12.
